the message of hope and compassion is spreading. the manatee county humane society is expanding it's reduced-fee spay and neuter clinic in efforts to move the shelter to no kill status by 2010.
here's the best part of the story: "A plumber, an electrician and other craftsmen have donated their services to build the clinic." it's just like nathan winograd says, trust the community and they will come through for you. to read up on or donate to the humane alliance, who provides training and funding for spay/neuter clinics across the country, click here.
to read more on the no kill movement and the history of sheltering pick up a copy of winograd's book, redemption, at any of our stores.
