geese again - this time it's vilas

the great goose-debate of 2010 - it's not over yet.  and now another park's feathered inhabitants may be on the chopping block as well.

bill lueders reports that there is growing discussion by the vilas park waterfowl advisory group of using lethal methods to control the park's goose population.

once again, the powers that be say they "want everyones' opinion" on the matter.  apparently we didn't hear us last may.  how's this?  HONK!  don't kill 'em!

goose meeting recap

the first "neighborhood" meeting between the new goose czar and members of no madison goose kill was held last night.  doesn't sound like any real progress has been made to avoid a future roundup.  in fact it seems all madison geese have been made targets now.
